Wonderland Comes to Richmond Village Nantwich

Wonderland Comes to Richmond Village Nantwich

Richmond Village, Nantwich started the New Year off with their annual Pantomime “Alice In Wonderland”.

Directed and written by Fred Allman, the show was performed by staff and volunteers who gave up their free time to produce, direct and perform in this annual tradition – now celebrating its tenth year.

Despite snow delays and main character “Alice” losing her voice during the dress rehearsal… the show went on….with all the necessary ingredients including an “It’s behind you” ghost scene, slap-stick comedy, in-jokes and audience participation.

Village Manager Lynne Griffin said “This years panto, like every other did not fail to entertain. The staff’s enthusiasm, dedication, commitment and energy that goes into each performance is much appreciated, particularly by our residents, for whom, the panto is a highlight they continue to look forward to year after year."

Extended Domiciliary Care Service at Richmond Bede Village

16th February 2013

Extended Domiciliary Care Service at Richmond Bede Village

Richmond Bede’s Domiciliary Care service assists villagers to live as independently as possible, living a lifestyle which is geared to their personal choice and preference. The service is provided to villagers living atBedeVillageonly, ensuring continuity of staff and a close individual relationship between carer and villager.

To enable them to offer a more increased personalised service to Richmond’s villagers, the Domiciliary Care team have now introduced a 24 hour domiciliary care service enabling villagers to be more independent than before.

Villager, Mrs P, said ‘having further assistance available at night now means that I can lead the exact lifestyle that I desire.’

Sonia Tenniswood, Richmond’s new registered Domiciliary Care Manager said ‘through experience of working within a care sector, it is apparent that people now require assistance later in the evening and during the night and don’t want to be limited to ‘set’ times of care due to restricted working care staff hours.’

Richmond Bede Village provides independent and assisted living apartments, 24 hour nursing home, respite and convalescent care. For further information regarding this, please call 024 76645544.
