Crowds of people visited Richmond Village Nantwich last weekend to enjoy their annual Summer Fayre in aid of Parkinson’s UK, and brought the good weather with them!
Craft stalls tempted visitors to buy unique and interesting goods while children enjoyed bouncing around on the inflatable castle or watching the Punch and Judy show.
The MVS Steel band gave the event a true summer feel with their calypso beats.
Each stall donated a prize for the raffle which along with the tombola and balloon sales raised an amazing £1,000 through the day.
Later more than 400 balloons bought by local businesses, the general public and Richmond Village residents and staff were released to draw the event to a close.
Parkinson’s UK branch Vice Chairman Dennis Fricker said “The whole day has been fantastic. The money raised will go towards research being undertaken both locally and nationally to find a cure. We are very grateful to Richmond Village for organising the event once again, and this year a special mention must go to The Andrew Connolly Practice for sponsoring the Balloon Race.”
Planning will now begin for the Christmas Fayre at Richmond Village Nantwich in aid of C.L.I.M.B (Children Living with Meta-Bolic Diseases) on Saturday the 24th November.
