Richmond Village will again be backing the Government’s Dignity in Care campaign by making its mark on Dignity Action Day.
The team at Richmond Village are supporters of the Government’s Dignity in Care campaign which aims to end indignity in health and social care services through raising awareness and inspiring people to take action. Staff members Louise Smith & Jason Osborne have signed up to the scheme as national Dignity Champions to represent the campaign in the care village on a daily basis.
General Manager of Richmond Village, Louise Thompson said: “We take great pride in working with the people who live here and continuously strive to provide high quality care, making our home a happy place to live. Care is not just about clinical excellence but also making sure that people in care feel good about themselves and successful at everyday tasks. Treating someone with the dignity that they deserve can be the difference between care and good care.”
The Dignity in Care campaign was launched by Barchester Healthcare, in November 2008 with Michael Parkinson and Care Services Minister, Phil Hope.
