Hundreds of cuddly toys collected for local respite centre

14 December 2011

Hundreds of cuddly toys have been donated to Richmond Village Nantwich after their joint appeal with their local Sainsburys to collect them on behalf of the Wingate Centre in Wrenbury.

Olwyn Payton from Sainsburys Nantwich, and Crewe & Nantwich’s local Volunteer of the Year, plus Cat Radio and Richmond Village Nantwich launched the appeal to help the centre provide a cuddly toy for every child and young adult that stays at the Wingate Centre during the year.

Lynne Griffin, Village Manager remarked “We are delighted at the wonderful response from everyone. Cuddly toys have been delivered daily and we would like to thank everyone who has been so generous.

The toys are being delivered to the Wingate Centre with the help of Twitchy the Cat from Cat Radio in time for Christmas.
