Richmond Villages - Caring for you

4th May 2011

Richmond Village Nantwich celebrated the recent Royal Wedding in style!

Residents and staff, plus lots of guests enjoyed a very sunny Street Party with our large marquee bedecked with all things red, white and blue. The Crewe Community Brass Band were here to entertain us plus local radio station CAT radio, together with Chris Radford swing singer, who serenaded us with old favourites from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

Couples were dancing whilst others enjoyed the party food and cup-cakes - with red, white and blue icing of course!

Everyone agreed that it had been a very enjoyable afternoon.

4th May 2011

Residents and staff plus friends and family enjoyed a May Day celebration with a twist.

Local dance group TRINITY came along to wow the audience with their dance displays including making human pyramids reaching nearly as high as the May Pole!

Earlier, members of staff tried to re-create the very traditional art of may pole dancing, with varying degrees of success!!! Their afforts were very much appreciated though!

In addition, a tombola and raffle raised £130 which was donated to the 16th Crewe Green Scout Group to go towards them helping to provide a shelter box.

Mrs Kathleen Haighton crowned the Richmond Village May Queen, whilst Mrs Errol Lochhead was awarded her prize for best Spring Outfit.
