Richmond Nantwich Hosts Speed Networking Event

Richmond Nantwich was proud to recently host the first speed networking event to be held by The South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce.

Over 20 local delagates from businesses all over South Cheshire attended, enjoying a full English Breakfast and then going on to "Speed Network" - similar to speed dating but without the dating!

Everyone agreed that it had been a thoroughly enjoyable and productive way to network!

RICHMOND VILLAGE NANTWICH HAS NEW RESIDENT!

Residents and Staff have been amazed at the sight of a new resident strutting about the gardens.A duck has made its nest amongst the rhodedendron bushes on the patio and is now the focus of attention as it looks after 12 eggs! Despite the pond being on the other side of the Village, it prefers to sit amongst the flowers watching the world go by - oh, and the odd game of Bowls on the Bowling Green a few feet away! No doubt we will be hearing the patter of tiny feet very soon!

EASTER EGG APPEAL AT RICHMOND NANTWICH

Richmond Nantwich and local radio station CAT radio recently launched an Easter Egg Appeal to provide a treat for under privaleged children in the area over the Easter period.

Eggs have been pouring in to both Richmond Village Reception and the Cat Radio and today 80 eggs are being delivered for distribution by local services.

Everyone is delighted at the amount that has been received but would welcome more if possible!

Enter the Royal Wedding Cake Competition

This could be a conventional wedding cake or with a modern twist, such as cupcakes.

 All you have to do is submit:

 

  • A high res photo (minimum size of 1MB) of your finished cake
  • A series of photos that illustrates the participation of your residents assisting the chef to make the cake
  • Your recipe
  • A short description of the theme chosen to decorate your cake.

Richard Cann will be delivering a talk entitled ‘A look at Stained Glass’.  It is an introduction to the incorporation, use and making of glass in medieval church architecture.   He will also be showing a short video on the making of a stained glass window.  Richard will be in the Auditorium on 19 April at 3pm followed by afternoon tea.

During afternoon tea, Sally Wallington from the Letcombe Brook Project will be visiting to give us an update and the latest information.

The Letcombe Brook Project was set up in April 2003 to enhance and protect the natural beauty of the brook, a rare chalk stream, located within the grounds at Richmond Letcombe Regis.  By working in partnership with local people and a variety of organisations, the Project has brought about positive environmental benefits for wildlife and helped people to enjoy and appreciate the brook.

The Care Wing Easter Party

The care wing at Richmond Painswick is getting ready for an Easter party to be held on 21 April starting at 3pm.  We are encouraging relatives and visitors to get involved.  In the lead up to the event, residents will be getting crafty making Easter bonnets and they will be judged by the Village Manager that afternoon.

RICHMOND NANTWICH DELIVERS OVER 200 EATER EGGS
Richmond Nantwich and local radio station "CAT RADIO" joined forces recently to launch an Easter Egg Appeal for underprivaleged and poorly children.
Over 200 eggs were donated and, last week, The Cat's mascot "TWITCHY" and staff from the radio station and Richmond Nantwich visited Nantwich Family Support centre, The Women's Refuge and the Children's Ward at Leighton Hospital Crewe to deliver the eggs to some very suprised but happy children.
Everyone was amazed at the generosity and kindness shown and we would like to thank all those people who donated such a wonderful amount of eggs. It really was EGGStra special!

The course will be held in the Auditorium 10 - 12.30 with refreshments provided.

Richmond Northampton are busy preparing for the Royal Wedding!

Residents are eagerly awaiting the Royal Wedding on Friday 29th April 2011.

 

Activities for the day include watching the Royal Wedding on a 80inch screen followed by a Grand Royal Themed Buffet for both Village residents and our care home community.

 

Village residents will also be show casing their new Barber shop quartet after lunch!

The care home will be celebrating also with the Grand Royal Buffet and a street party up and down the corridors!

The day will end with a traditional afternoon tea.

Richmond Northampton recently won the 2010 New Homes Garden Award.

Richmond Northampton was proud to be presented with a Gold for Best Landscaped Retirement Development' award by the Daily Express. 

Nick Ives our Head Gardener was very happy to be nominated and was overjoyed when he heard the news that he had won! Well done Nick for all your hard work!

RICHMOND NANTWICH HOSTING STREET PARTY

Richmond Nantwich is planning a huge street party on Saturday 30th April to celebrate the Royal Wedding. All things British will be present to really set the mood for the afternoon including party food, bunting, flags and a theme of red, white and blue.

The Co-op Brass Band will also be here together with our local radio station "CAT RADIO" who will be bringing along their roadshow and also a swing singer.
