Richmond Northampton Residents take part in Marie Curie’s St David’s day Coffee morning.

On Tuesday 1st March 20111 Richmond Northampton will be hosting a St David’s day themed coffee morning with Welsh cakes, Barablith cake and will be asking for donations towards Marie curie Cancer Care.

The event will start at 10:30am in the Yellow Lounge on Tuesday 1st March 2011

Richmond Northampton Step To It Challenge

Richmond Northampton Take part in the Step to it Challenge!

Starting on Tuesday 1st March 2011 staff, residents, friends and family will take part by wearing a pedometer and getting as many sponsors as possible!

We ask that everyone taking part can raise at least £5 to cover costs of the pedometer.

The winner will be the person who has taken the most steps in two weeks; the winner will win a large trophy and have a certificate presentation.

 The money raised will go to our two nominated charities for 2011, they are The British Heart foundation and Lennox Lewis Childrens Charity.

RICHMOND NANTWICH'S ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT RETIRES

Richmond Nantwich said a fond "farewell" and "au revoir" to it's Activities Assistant Fred Allman today who has retired after 13 years devoted service to the Village.

Fred, who started working for Richmond Nantwich on 28th September 1998, has decided to hang up his microphone and fancy dress costumes and concentrate on his many interests outside work. He has agreed, however, to come back as a volunteer and also to continue writing, producing and directing the annual pantomime.

Residents and Staff collected over £400 which Fred will use to buy a weekend away in London to see a West End Show. He was also presented with a watch by the Richmond Nantwich Management.

Richmond Northampton residents celebrate 60th Wedding Anniversary.

Rachael & Noel Browne are celebrating a fantastic 6oth Wedding Anniversary today as well as Noel Browne’s 90th Birthday.

 

Rachael & Noel have invited all residents to join in the celebrations with Champagne on arrive, a grand buffet made by our Chef’s and served by the Hospitality team.

 

Rachael & Noel have been overwhelmed with the response from all residents and are really looking forward to the celebrations

Richmond Letcombe Regis to host Fairtrade Coffee Morning

We shall be hosting a Fairtrade Coffee Morning on Saturday 12th March.  The event, part of Fairtrade Fortnight, is being organised by local villagers and hosted by Richmond Letcombe Regis.  As Richmond already uses Fairtrade products, we are delighted to support this coffee morning.  We shall be serving coffee and tea and there will be a selection of Fairtrade products available for purchase as well as information about Fairtrade

RICHMOND NANTWICH PLANS ROYAL WEDDING CELEBRATIONS

16th March 2011

Richmond Nantwich is planning to celebrate the Royal Wedding by holding a traditional Street Party in ita grounds on Saturday 30th April.

Residents, guests and staff will enjoy traditional party food whilst being serenaded by the local Co-Operative Brass Band. Bunting, flags, hats and streamers will help everyone get into the party mood and everyone is being encouraged to wear something red, white or blue.

Guests are very welcome at a small charge of £6 for an afternoon that promises to be extremely enjoyable.

Richmond Northampton host St Patricks Supper Club

On Thursday 17th March 2011 Richmond Northampton will host a supper club consisting of a three course irish themed meal including Baileys cheesecake and coffee floaters!

Followed by Children Irish dancers from our local primary school.

The evening starts at 6pm for pre dinner drinks, dinner is served at 7pm and entertainment from 8pm onwards.

Thank you to all those who contributed to raising money for Comic Relief.

Villagers and residents at Richmond Coventry enjoyed a tombola, guessing how many sweets in the sweetie jar, Red Nose Pick A Pose Blackout game, and the Balance Bowl!

 We are pleased to announce that we raised a total of £191.66.

The Kiros centre is linked with the Village Church and residents are helping to make, decorate and sell cupcakes to raise funds for the community church.

RICHMOND NANTWICH SUPPORTS RHS CAMPAIGN

RICHMOND NANTWICH SUPPORTS RHS CAMPAIGN

Residents and Staff joined members of Nantwich in Bloom to plant 15 saplings in the woodland area of Richmond Village Nantwich in conjunction with the In Bloom Commitee and the RHS's campaign to increase the amount of trees in the country. Rowan, silver birch and oak will now grow alongside the other vegetation and we are all looking forward to watching them grow and mature over the years.


Help for Heroes Charity Fundraiser

Paddy Brice, Managing Director of Richmond Care Villages has agreed to have his legs waxed to raise money for Help for Heroes.  Waxing will take place at Richmond Painswick in the Auditorium (to allow everyone to witness his anguish) on Thursday 24 March at 11.30am.

Also, Jo Walters, Head of Care here at Richmond Painswick has agreed to have at least 6 inches of her hair cut off, again to raise money for Help for Heroes.
