Richmond Northampton Visit Stoke Bruerne
Richmond Northampton residents were on a day trip to Stoke Bruerne today.
Stoke Bruerne is only 5 miles away from us but is an idyllic day out for the residents. Stopping first for coffee by the canal and watching the narrow boats pass through the locks and the work involved. Then we walked from the lock to the Blisworth Tunnel which is a mile each way before having a three course meal at the Navigation Inn.
After lunch we visited the museum and gift shop before embarking on a boat trip! The boat trip was a gentle ride up the canal and back and lasted for about an hour. After the boat trip everyone sat by the river watching the boats and eating fresh homemade ice cream.
