Residents Come Dine With Me
Activites co-ordinator Christopher Rayatt has entered in to the Come Dine With Me T.V show competition but until then decided to have a run through with residents at Richmond Northampton.
Residents were invited to put names in a hat so that everyone had a chance to grab one of only nine seats available. The lucky nine were invited for a Champagne reception in one of the many lounges at Richmond Northampton.
Starter was served at 1:30pm and was a Taramasalata Mousse served with Hot lemon bread, Prawns on a bed of rocket leaves and a lemon wedge.
Main course was Herb Crusted Lamb with Grattan De Le’gume and minted garden pea’s.
Dessert was a choice of Oranges in Caramel & Cointreau or a Plum & Cardomon Crunch all served with cream.
Chris cooked the three course meal at Richmond Northampton with no help from the expert chefs that were on hand and a good time was had by all residents.
Doris smith said “I have not been to a traditional dinner party like this for so long and it was wonderful to be part of the event as long as I now don’t have to cook for everyone else!”
The residents even voted at the end with a staggering 87 out of 90! Now that’s good going!
Chris is hoping to enter the online competition on Channel 4’s website until a place is confirmed on the Channel 4 show Come Dine With Me.
