Ed Vaizey MP to open Showhomes at New Retirement Village in Letcombe Regis, Oxfordshire

Already, half of the first phase of 34 apartments at Richmond Villages’ new retirement development in Letcombe Regis has been reserved off-plan since the January launch. However, those wanting to see what the properties will look like in reality will be interested to hear that on Saturday 6th June at 11.30am, Ed Vaizey MP for Wantage and Didcot will officially open the show complex, demonstrating the different types of accommodation and lifestyles available within the village.

During the open weekend on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June (10am to 4pm), visitors will be able to view an Independent Living apartment, an Assisted Living apartment, and a Care Bedroom. A computer-generated walk-through and fly-over images will also provide a comprehensive visual impression of what the village will look like when completed later this year.

The £60m Richmond Letcombe Regis development is the only facility of its type in Oxfordshire. The new retirement village will also have a wellness spa with a swimming pool, gym, health and beauty treatment rooms and a hair salon; other facilities include a café, restaurant, shop, IT room and library, craft rooms and a bowling green.

The superb location of this retirement village near Wantage, just 10 miles north of junction 14 on the M4, makes it easily accessible for those living near Newbury, Oxford, Reading, Swindon and West London.

The village includes a range of deluxe apartments, which provide Independent Living combined with the reassurance of a secure and sociable community where care and assistance are close at hand if needed. These large apartments - averaging 1,000 sq.ft. in size - have a kitchen, living room and one or two bedrooms, with en-suite to the main bedroom.

The Assisted Living apartments are ideal for those requiring some help. The apartments include a spacious living room, kitchen, one or two bedrooms and an en suite bathroom.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, nestling beneath the Ridgeway and just a few miles from the ancient White Horse chalk carving, the new village has been designed to compliment the vernacular of the South Oxfordshire/Berkshire border.
